If Life Were a Musical

Do you ever wish that you could start singing and that the people around you would join in and that magically they all knew the words and choreography? I know I do sometimes. Maybe that's why this video made me laugh:

God Bless America

"There are people who give up the things they have, and travel many, many miles, to live in horrible conditions, just so they can selflessly work hard to provide for a better life for their families back home. We call those people... soldiers. Support our troops." -Anonymous

This is a PSA brought to you by Cracked

I was recently on Cracked when I stumbled upon a very interesting page. I've have got to say that it's probably one of my favorite articles on the site (let alone the web):
5 Scientific Reasons a Zombie Apocalypse Could Actually Happen
So stock up your house with food and weapons. Read up on how to defend yourself. You may need it... eventually. ;)

Scientology

I have a controversial topic to discuss: Scientology (before you read this article though, I must request you have a basic understanding of Scientology, and you must know that I don't have anything against Scientology, it's just another belief system. What I am against is the "Church Of Scientology"). I want to start out by saying I am a very open-minded person. I believe that any person in the world should be able to believe what they want. I, however, believe the Church of Scientology is a cult. I have a problem with the "church" for a few different reasons. These lists have some interesting facts that may open you up to some fallacies:

Interesting, huh? I just wanted to share some information with you all. Make your own choice what you think about the Church Of Scientology.

Exciting New Movie: Repo! The Genetic Opera

In August 8, 2008 a new movie will be released to the public. The movie is called "Repo! The Genetic Opera". Being a big fan of the Saw movie series, I was familiar with Darren Lynn Bousman and had been for quite sometime. I was reading his blog, trying to pick up some cool updates on how SAW IV was coming along (yes, this was quite some time ago, can't wait for Saw V (and VI) now), and I read some of his comments about his new project. Now, knowing that Darren Lynn Bousman was directing, I knew it would be interesting. The plot only furthered my interest in the movie (based off a stage play by Darren Smith and Terrance Zdunich, who are also writing the screenplay), but when the trailer came out, I got sucked in fully. Now I'm just sitting back and waiting, totally excited for the film's release. Here's the plot and trailer:

"An epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Panic erupts and scientists feverishly make plans for a massive organ harvest. Out of the tragedy, GeneCo, a multi-billion dollar biotech company, emerges. GeneCo provides organ transplantation for a profit. In addition to financing options, GeneCo reserves the right to implement default remedies, including repossession. For those who can't keep up with their organ payments, collection is the responsibility of "organ repo men", skilled assassins contracted by GeneCo, ordered to recover GeneCo's property by any means necessary.

At the heart of the story is Shilo Wallace (Alexa Vega), a 17 year-old girl with a rare blood disease. She has been kept locked up and protected in her house, where she is guarded from the outside world by her father, Nathan Wallace (Anthony Head). While Shilo struggles with her wish to leave the house and experience the outside world, Nathan struggles with his job as the repo man, and more specifically, his next target, a woman named Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman). Blind Mag was a friend of Nathan's now-deceased wife, and is Shilo's godmother.

The Largo family, consisting of GeneCo president Rotti (Paul Sorvino), his daughter Amber (Paris Hilton), and his two sons Luigi and Pavi (Bill Moseley and Nivek Ogre, respectively), have their own plans. Rotti is dying, and the three siblings bicker and fight about who is to take the role as head of GeneCo.

The stories intertwine and merge at the GeneCo opera."
